UK brands, rejoice! Pinterest’s Marketing Developer Partners program is now available across the pond. Adaptly is part of a select group of MDPs that have driven client success on Pinterest stateside and can extend their expertise with Promoted Pin campaigns to UK businesses. In its news announcement, Pinterest highlighted our work with Green Chef that enabled the meal delivery service to cut signup and checkout CPAs by more than half. The third wave of tech has arrived and is quickly gaining momentum. Adaptly president Sean O’Neal predicts that chatbots will be to the 2010’s what mobile apps were to the 2000’s and websites were to the 1990’s: essential. As younger demographics forgo traditional communication channels like email, mobile messaging app usage has surged. Brands are feeling the pressure to stake their claim on messaging apps, which have over 3 billion monthly active users . Facebook has already partnered with Uber and Spotify to integrate transportation and music sharing into Messenger, and other brands are following suit.
Facebook hosted its annual Developer Conference F8 in San Francisco this week, and the update that has everyone at Adaptly abuzz is the advancements coming to Messenger. Facebook’s chat platform has over 900 million active monthly users, including 50 million businesses, and plans are in place to bring e-commerce to the forefront of the app’s capabilities. With the introduction of chatbots into Messenger, users can communicate directly with brands to do things like place orders, receive shipping notifications, and view receipts. All developers and business have access to build bots for Messenger and submit them for review, and Facebook will introduce new bots gradually to ensure the best experience for all Messenger users.
